Viral Videos, Hard Disk Camcorders & Driving Traffic Via Viral Videos
December 29, 2007
Today their are a number of hard disk camcorders on the market that make getting video to the web fairly fast and easy. This video charts my progression with online video over the last six to seven months and the various digital camcorders I have use to post video to popular online video sharing sites like youtube.com, veoh.com, revver.com and others.
I also want to share with you new several new video sites I will be launching in 2008 –
- Viral Video Marketing.Us: I plan on sharing my experiences with online video and marketing via video online. I am really excited about this new site as I am really passionate about this new niche within internet marketing. Video is fun, creative and their is money to be made – I am in! How about you?
- Cooking Recipes Tv.com: Prior to be an online marketer I was a professional chef of over twenty years, I cut my teeth with internet marketing creating a culinary site called “Awesome Chef Recipes”. This new culinary site will feature mostly video with plenty of tasty recipes I enjoy cooking at home.

Hey thanks Brian
So just to clarify you are now using the Canon HG10 or is it the HV10? Its incredible quality, that video above.. was the file size big
I saw on amazon the HG10 for around $757 thats not bad
Oops forgot to ask.. so is your flip now being handed down to your kids?
Hey James,
Cannon Hg10 - I love the cam. The file size are huge, however by compressing using h.264 I can get the file sizes down for the web to under 100 megs (this way my videos make it on to youtube.com
If you get this cam you will need to get editing software that can handle avchd file format.
I am using (and learning pinnacle studio which can handle that hd codec).
As for the flip -
Well I kind of like the camera for what it is, very cheap with a quality non hd picture. Heck the pictures of my flip are nearly as good as the panasonic cam I picked up.
I have some ideas for video blogs that might need two cameras -
I can also film with the flip when I would be worried about my cannon.
2008 should be intresting for marketing and all, video is become the norm. People are expecting it.
Time will tell.
Brian
Hi Brian,
Great video. You are right about being able communicate so much more in a video. I think its also easier to understand for a lot of people. Like you I’m also somewhat of a perfectionist and I’m sure I’ll end up with a 3 chip HD camera but that’s a littke bit down the road. Some time ago I joined a web site where the focus was on making do it yourself videos. I’m using Sony Movie Studio for editing. I also picked up a Logitech pro camera - It sort of looks like an eyeball at the top of a foot long stalk. It has some sort of sensor so it follows you around. Quality is good but how could I resist when the guy on the 5AM Staples Black Friday line in front of me said that after all the rebates this $130 camera was $20.
Thanks for your help with the ChristmasOrnaments.be site I purchased from you - I was very pleased with how everything turned out. I’m going to take a lot that I learned from that and from what I learned from you on my next site which will be http://www.nichediggers.com - it should be up in a few weeks.
I hope you and your family as well as all of the other DomainParkingMoney.net members have a happy New Year.
All the best,
Ted Sudol

Nice work Brian. I have a Sony HD cam and I think your video comments are going to push me into start using it for my net sites. I just started domaining and am realizing parked domains are not the way to go, with the low cost web site software out there. Thanks for the header building tip…works slick! Keep on cookin!!!!!!!!!!
what header building tip? share the tip
The tip that Brian told me about was a program called Website Header Wizard. It has photos and text options to build great looking headers fast. Google the name to check out the sales page.
Les is correct,
I use a header program “Header Wizard” …
You can find more info about the program on my “top tools for domainers” page here:
