Revenue Domains Part Three – Mangage Content Easily With Wordpress
December 1, 2007
Creating money making websites is a breaze with Wordpress, this post focuses on popular plugins, themes and ebooks for mastering the Wordpress money making system.
Welcome to Domain Parking Money.Net, your reading part three of “Revenue Domains” which covers tactics I use to develop income producing domain name websites easily (some work required).
Revenue Domains: Acquiring Money Making Domains On The Cheap
- Acquire Cheap & Launch Quickly And Easily
- Ramping Up Traffic For Maximum Earnings
- Streamline Your System With Wordpress For Easy Content Management (page your reading)
This system works, it is straight forward and best of all you don’t have to spend hundreds of dollars on one name to generate revenue. However you will want to make the process of site creation as painless as possible. You also want to be able to do this as quick as possible – time is money. Of course you also want to ensure you getting the most free traffic possible, so it is important to make sure your sites are optimized for on page factors.
- keyword rich title tag
- keyword rich meta description
- 500 words of text written for people by people (no spammy software)
- smart internal linking (people stop linking to your homepage using the word “home”)
- smart outbound linking to related sites (it won’t hurt I promise)
My method is to use Wordpress, combined with a theme I have tweaked extensively in order address certain “onpage” seo factors that I feel are lacking or rather not optimized with a standard wordpress installation. I also use a handful of plugins that I know help boost my seo ranking. More on those later, for now lets cover the basics. DomainParkingMoney.net in fact uses this same theme.
Why do I use this theme over and over?
Because it is fast, easy and produces nice looking sites. I always try to get things as simple as possible online. This is important once you have many sites running and hundreds of domains. However because wordpress is based on a template and css system I can quickly and easily change the way each site looks (colors and header image) by just tweaking one file on each site.
So using my own cooked up wordpress system makes my life easier, however Wordpress is also quite powerful and is open source. It can be extended in many ways by the use of “plugins” – plugins add functionality to wordpress site.
- Want a Google compliant xml site – easy their is a FREE plugin
- Need an image gallery on your site – take your pic, no problem
- Want to pull in your images from your personal Flickr account – yep, another plugin
- Want site stats that are easy to understand – another free plugin
- Their are
hundredsthousands of great plugins you can use to extend your site
Their are also some paid plugins as well, I have about two that I will recommend (another post probably). Wordpress is also cutting edge – it offers:
- Rss feeds
- Pinging
- Comments
- Trackbacks
- Pingbacks
- Super easy way to add content
Best of all it is free
Did I mention that, free – image that! Another aspect of working with Wordpress is that it is hugely popular online, it is used by millions of people. If you run into problems your not working with some specialized application that nobody knows about, get help from the Wordpress forums or other webmasters. Lastly, their are many great products on the market today that help webmasters and domainers create content rich websites based on the tech of wordpress. This is again for a future post but I just want to let you know that wordpress is as powerful as it is simple for those starting out.
If your interested in learning more about Wordpress check out these links below.
- Wordpress.Org – Free – The place to download the free script (it runs on PHP and MySql)
- Optiniche.com – $97 Paid ebook and member blog about wordpress and creating niche money making sites. A bit pricey at $97 but good.
- EasyWordpress.com – $67, offers a ton of info an ebook, custom wordpress themes, video tutorials and more. A great package at a reasonable price.
- Web 2.0 / Wordpress Wealth – $67 features lots of video tutorials as well as an ebook. This looks good for the web 2.0 aspect.
- Wordpress Set Up / Tips & Tricks – $15 based on videos this course is much cheaper but lacks a bit of the other courses.
To Your Success,

hi there brian
i have a few questions. that have been stuck in my head a few days now
1) with ebay changing from CJ.com to inhouse partner
will the BANS still work for ebay or will a newer PID number be issued.
2) do you use CaRP se or CaRP Evolution for your Rss Feeds from ebay.
i really like what you say about affiliates, so i started out my own, with adsense.
but i really dont know how to take the RSS feed from Ebay to Carp
thanks
Hey Rokeb,
Bans and the various wordpress plugins for the ebay affiliate program will continue to work, however you will need to update your sites.
I use the paid carp version to pull in rss feeds - for ebay I use phpbay which is a plugin for wordpress and works quite nice.
