Their are many products available that will let you “park” your domains quickly and easily while earning money from programs like adsense, the yahoo publishers network and affiliate programs. BANS or “Build A Niche Store” has helped me to create a steady income with the ebay affiliate program. It is quick and easy to set up and comes recommended to anyone looking for an alternative to parking their domains.
If you want to use your own domain parking software to out earn third party parking companies I have some great news for you. I have been using a web site script that is both powerful yet fairly easy to use (it will take a bit of time to learn but once you do building money making sites is a snap). It gives you the ability to ad adsense (as well as other contextual advertising programs), affiliate links, affiliate banners from any affiliate program and more.
Best of all the parking software (the real term is web site script since it runs on a server) pulls in current ebay auction items that are inbedded with YOUR affiliate id link. These ebay “links” are processed with from rss scripts and are not produced in javascript but php. What is the big deal with using php with live ebay rss feeds? Well it means the ebay items listed on your site are indexable by the search engines, that is really a great function and helps you make money money on a bunch of levels.
- Your pages are ALWAYS updating with new listings from ebay, this helps your ranking in search engines like google, yahoo and msn. Search engines love updated “fresh” content.
- You get lots of great “terms” on your pages that can help you sell more stuff. Example, lets say you have a fishing domain and put up an ebay driven site in about 20 minutes. You site will be broken down into various pages based on fishing products, lures, rods, reels, ect …Someone might search google for a rare lure that is not listed on many other web pages, but if that item is listed on ebay it will also be listed on YOUR SITE
Multiply this by hundreds since you site will feature hundreds of ebay items that are fully indexable. - Your providing your visitors with the types of products their searching for, if someone searches for our example “fishing reels” lets say and your site has four pages that feature current fish reels for sale chance of getting an ebay sale are pretty good. Give the people what they want … and your going to make money.

The name of this ebay script is Build A Niche Store, it cost just under $100 (last time I checked anyway) you can use the script on as many domains as you like. You also have lots of control over the content, yep … you can add content to each page if you like. This helps your rankings even more. So does this system really work? Check out my cj.com (commission junction) earnings since April of 2007 when I first started using this domain parking script:
April 2007: Less than $100 dollars
October 2007: $2700
During September and October of 2007 my ebay earnings were around 2k
(I had additional commissions from other affiliate programs with cj.com)
This script works best for domains that feature products, although you can add your own text and images with the program as well as adsense. So in fact you could use this software script on any domain, however I think you will see the best results with product type domains.

I am really glad you asked that question, because it made me think of several items.
- Income chart is for commission junction, most of that (85%) income is from the Ebay affiliate program which I target. That income comes from a handful of sites …. somewhere around 8 to 12 or so.
Also note I use two products to promote ebay, both based on pulling ebay rss scripts into a website. One is Bans, and the other is for a script you will learn about in a future post.
Bans is a great place to start.

I would imagine your car parts domain names would do nicely yes. I have promoted US ebay with .be domain extensions and have done fairly well. Of course it depends on how you promote and set up your BANS site.

Your videos are educational as well as entertaining. You are photogenic as well as articulate. If I tried to make a video it would look and sound like an old wrinkled and super fat shrek-like abomination.

Very fine info Brian. I have 100 domains and use Parked.com. Most do not get clicks, I am not sure if these type of domains would work with niche BANS. What do u think? By the way great site u have here and good info. I’ll be here a while looking at your info. Thanks

I have two questions. Do you rely on type in traffic or you promote those domains after you put bans on them? If you have a domain that wasn’t promoted have you noticed if it started picking up SE traffic just with the content from eBay listings or is the same as before? Thanks.

Not really applicable with the types of domains I own, my domains are keyword rich .org and .net domains (mostly) so nobody is going to type in that type of extension.
Traffic comes from the search engines …
Your second question:
Can a domain get traffic that is driven by ebay listings?
Yes, depending on how “seo friendly” the domain is and how well the “site” is launched.
Results will vary in the land of seo …

Sounds great, I’m ready to give it a whirl. I’ve also got a portfolio of over 100 domain names that bring me traffic from 5 of the parking sites, but I can tell you the click through rate and payout is peanuts. Nothing like the 4, 5 or 6 figure per month payouts I read about..

Because it’s my first time posting a request, I have to thank you for all the professional advices and great software suggestions, thanks to you i can now attract more traffic, throught the keyword research tools.
My question would be : is there any money in developing domains, purely from scratch to 3-4k quality backlinks and a PR3-4 that’s really easy to get, and a minimum but serious search engine optimization, i can get all of that in around 6 months/domain, and then park it for revenue ?
What’s your professional oppinion, is he gone dye in around 1 year, the traffic estimated to that domain shortly after it’s beeing parked it pretty low ?
I can also sell the domain to domainers such as you, what do you think how much i can get on a this kind of domain.
I was thinking that i can take orders from clients and give them the domain already steady and web present with traffic by niche as requested.
I’m asking you this because i think i’m close to this brach then building a really small niche website. I enjoy developing domains and not so much letting them with a cheap template and 1,2 affiliation programs.
I’m also thinking of remaining in the gaming section, i’ve been doing this for 1,5 years and I learned a couple of tricks from doing so.

Last summer I decided to start a blog about my experience with domain parking and it has really been a great success. I have learned a ton about the subject and have passed on my learning’s along the way. Great to hear your doing well with keyword tools and driving more traffic.
Is their any money in developing domain names?
Yes … and plenty. However it takes time and energy, however my earnings from developed domain names far exceeds that to what I make by parking my domains.
My new ebook / eCourse deals with creating mini websites from “the right kind” of expired domain names and monetizing the traffic. I have been able to increase my online earnings from this vary practice and continue to develop sites.
I think series domainers really need to take a look at domain development.
